At Jubilee we love the Alpha Course and have run over 25 courses! They've been both great fun, and also made a profound impact helping many start a life long journey of faith.
The Alpha Course has reached nearly 29 million people across 146 countries across most denominations. Over 2 million participants joined globally in recent annual cycles, and impact surveys report that 95% of guests find a positive life impact. Bear Grylls (Adventurer and Supporter) says : "Go and do an Alpha Course to explore the notion of what faith is and isn’t.
What can you expect?
The evening usually starts with a meal, followed by a talk (either a speaker or a video presentation) and then there is an opportunity, in small groups, to discuss your thoughts and questions.

Alpha is for everyone; no question is out of bounds and you are free to discuss as much or as little as you wish. We don't assume any background knowledge of or belief in Christianity and everyone is welcome.
Alpha is an opportunity to explore the meaning of life in an informal, fun and friendly environment. The Alpha course consists of a series of talks, looking at topics including 'Who is Jesus?' and 'Why and how do I pray?', with the option of a weekend away. We meet for supper and each talk is followed by discussion in small groups.
Alpha runs for ten weeks. You don't have to come to the whole course – just pop along for the first night and see what you think. No pressure. Each evening is about 90 minutes.
